  1. Provide more statistics than just the average student debt

Knowing the AVERAGE (mean) student debt for graduates of a college is simply not enough. Having basic information about the distribution of the debt -- range and standard deviation -- would make these data actually useful for truly understanding the situation faced by young people entering various professions. I am trying to demonstrate such circumstances for teachers whose salary levels are highly politicized now. Knowing teachers expenses, specifically their debt service, would go a long way toward truly understanding their need for increased salary.

  2. Missing information from IPEDS

    Hello,

My name is Carly Hendrickson, and I work for Principia College, Admissions. I'm one of a few individuals at our institution who completes survey information eventually published by companies such as yours. I noticed that our college profile does not include information in the "Value for Your Money" section as well as the overall "value" ranking.

This is concerning to us because our school has been noted in other national rankings as a top-value school. It also concerns us because our college completes the IPEDS survey every year, which is where we believe this information should have been found…

  4. Where do undergrads go after graduation?

    Hi!

I am interested in where your undergraduate students go after college. What percentage stay local to Durham, move to neighboring cities within NC or move out of the state? Do you have this information?

I have operate a social network to help graduating students move off campus and adjust to life outside of academia. And its likely more beneficial to those who are moving further away from campus (i.e. to a new city). It would help to know what percentage leave to a new city.

Thanks so much! This information will really help me validate if my startup would…

  5. Earnings Boost

The earnings boost method seems an inaccurate measure. Students who work in the region of our college after graduation make much less than students in other areas. (Obviously, not all of them remain in the region, but a good number of them do. This would make our overall college ranking much lower than it should be.)

  7. wrong

The Virginia Military Institute cannot have an 84% burglary rate. Zero chance of that in a million years. Please re-check that. If it is true, your stats are misleading. It is so rare for a crime there it is laughable.

  10. You only include 4 year schools in your Best Colleges for Returning Adults. Community Colleges need to be included!

Where are the community colleges in your Best Colleges for Returning Adults? CC's are focused on adult learning, they offer degrees and certifications designed for the workforce. They are also significantly cheaper than their 4 year counterparts. This seems to be a MAJOR oversight. Yes, many will go on to a bachelors degree. But CC's are where they start and finish.

  12. UCLA faculty demographics wrong

UCLA's own homepage for diversity lists faculty demographics from 2005-2015.

In 2015 the number of White professors was 75% and only 8.8% URM. I believe you may be including numbers of admin, office workers, maintenance workers, etc

I'd be interested in your response.

    Regards,
    Scott

  17. Highlight the Percentage Adjunct vs Full Time More

I would like to see a ranking specifically on the % of adjunct faculty. You have the data which is great but it us hard to get to. I would love to see a ranking or download of just this data.

  18. Update to University of the Cumberlands

Update data related to tuition. The University of the Cumberlands reduced tuition by $13,125 for the 2019-2020 academic year. This will result in a savings of $52,500 per year for new students That will change the total number in your database from $126,500 to $74,000. This would seem to be an amount that would change its rating on your website. This initiative is called the Cumberlands commitment and can be easily verified at the University website ucumberlands.edu
