Thanks for the feedback! When students choose a college and major that is a good fit for them, they are more likely to graduate on time from the college they started from resulting in less debt. I apologize if that was not clear from the email and we will consider a rewrite. Best!

We allow you to complete the college search as if you were your student.
You can also invite your student to create their own account and share their results. Learn how to do that here: pages.collegefactual.com/getting-started-parents

    Hi Joe,

Thank you for the suggestion. That's a good idea. I will add it to our list of future enhancements.

In the meantime, we don't have the ability to set a minimum threshold for a particular fit factor, but we do now have the ability to sort by a particular fit factor. So, for instance, you could take all of your matches, and sort to show the best location fits first, and then scroll through the list till you got to 60%.

I know that's not what you are asking for, but you might find it useful as a way to ensure you are focusing on matches that are a good fit for a particular factor.

Also, we recently added some enhancements to the location fit itself, including the ability to directly indicate how important location fit is. You could, for example, say location fit is very important, and it would then have a larger impact on the overall match score.

Thanks again for reaching out and sorry for the absurdly delayed response.

    Cheers,
    Josh

The page you are referencing on College Factual is an estimate of what the average student will pay (including those who are not receiving financial aid) who take the average length to graduate (in this case 4.1 years).

This includes room and board, and other expenses.

College Factual's estimate of $43,519 is within the range that SNHU quotes on their own tuition & fees page. See here: http://www.snhu.edu/tuition-and-financial-aid/tuition-and-fees/campus-undergraduate-costs

Here is the College Factual page for your reference: http://www.collegefactual.com/colleges/southern-new-hampshire-university/paying-for-college/value-for-your-money/

Our data source for this is the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) from the National Center for Education Statistics, a branch of the Department of Education.

Not sure why you would consider this website a scam.

We obtain the majority of our information about each college from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) from the National Center for Education Statistics, a branch of the Department of Education. Additional data sources are documented in the methodology articles related to each particular ranking.

    Hi Candice,

You've reached College Factual, a website that publishes information about many colleges and universities to help students pick the right one for them.

Unfortunately we do not currently publish data on where students go after they graduate. It would be an awesome feature to have on the site though.

    Thanks for your interest.

I believe the error is in the graduation trends graph on this page: http://www.collegefactual.com/colleges/cuny-john-jay-college-of-criminal-justice/academic-life/graduation-and-retention/
When you hover over the graph the percentages are placed to the wrong side of the decimal point (0.22% rather than 22%)

The NCCAOM accreditation is acknowledged under 'Specialized Accreditations' which you can see by scrolling down the page.

We do not currently rank Canadian schools, only four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi Tom,

Our major rankings are only for colleges that offer four-year degree programs in the subject.

For undergraduate programs, the University of Maryland is listed #9 for most popular aerospace engineering programs (http://www.collegefactual.com/majors/engineering/aerospace-and-aeronautical-engineering/rankings/most-popular/), and Texas A&M is #16 (http://www.collegefactual.com/majors/engineering/aerospace-and-aeronautical-engineering/rankings/most-popular/p2.html).

Those two schools were not included in the quality ranking most likely due to missing data.

For the other schools it appears that they offer graduate aerospace programs, but not undergraduate.
